Have a look at one lap of Central Park, NYC, N.Y. in the company of two great LifeLong sports, cross country skiing and SpikeBoarding executed by 2018 Winter Olympian Kequyen Lam and LifeLong Olympic Co-Founder Enrique Cubillo. SpikeBoarding is the new sibling of cross country skiing. From the waist up SpikeBoarding is pure skiing. From the waist down it’s all the scooter / skateboard kick. In this video you will see roller skiing. Roller skiing is skiing. Olympic skiers globally roller ski 70% of the year. Without dedicated practice to skiing movements all year there would be no way for them to arrive for winter competitions ready to compete at the highest levels. SpikeBoarding helps pipeline basic skill sets for roller skiing. The sport is casual and has no tips to cross, no bindings nor boots and the wheels will roll over all sorts of terrain that roller skiing is highly sensitive towards. Both sports are wonderful to learn at the same time. SpikeBoarding will serve for commuting very casually every day out the door in street clothing.
